HMRC worker awarded £25,000 for harassment in ET ruling: Fiona Hewitt comments in HR Magazine

Employment Partner, Fiona Hewitt, is quoted in HR Magazine discussing a recent ET ruling where a manager's contact in sending a birthday card to an employee who was off sick and had asked for "minimal contact", turned out to be an expensive mistake for the company. The ET found that this contact constituted harassment.


Fiona comments: “It is important to listen to the requests of those who are off sick, particularly when their absence is related to a disability".
