Employment Rights Bill: Alan Lewis comments in People Management

Alan Lewis is quoted in People Management discussing the Government’s new employment rights bill including new "day one unfair dismissal rights." 

Alan points out that although the change may be good for employees it may put pressure on businesses to spend time and resources vetting new hires even more closely to make sure they will be suitable for the role. He is also concerned at the pressure on the already stretched employment tribunals as even more claims for unfair dismissal arise.
