Alan says the case highlights many essential actions HR managers can take to avoid disability discrimination lawsuits, including correctly identifying when an employee may require reasonable adjustments due to a disability, even if it was not initially revealed, and proactively addressing potential adjustments with the employee. Managers should also receive training on determining when adjustments are required and implement them effectively.
